QUELANT-K low pH
High potassium concentration, low pH.
Potassium is utilized by turfgrass to support many critical physiological functions (translocation of sugars, enzyme activation, stomatal activity, etc.) It is required in relatively large quantities, but products containing a high percentage of soluble potassium are often very alkali. This high pH can cause problems with your tank mix, especially when combining them with products containing a high percentage of calcium or magnesium, hard water or pH sensitive agrochemicals.
Quelant-K low pH delivers a high concentration of readily available potassium in a formulation that is near pH neutral. Free amino acids incorporated into the formulation aid in prompt potassium uptake and utilization in the plant.

Quelant-K low pH Increases Potassium Concentration in Leaf Tissue
Research plots were set up at Colbert Hill Golf Course in Manhattan, Kansas on a tall fescue turfgrass stand. Macro-Sorb Quelant®-K low pH was applied at rates of 2.0 or 4.0 fl oz/1000 ft2 on 5 day intervals for a total of 3 applications. Five days after the final applications, leaf tissue samples were collected from each plot and sent to Kansas State University Soil and Plant Tissue Diagnostics Lab for potassium analysis.
Following applications of Quelant®-K low pH at 2.0 and 4.0 fl oz/1000 ft2 , leaf tissue potassium increased by 9 and 14 percent, respectively. With the addition of Macro-Sorb amino acids, foliar applications of Quelant®-K low pH efficiently increase potassium concentrations within leaf tissue.
